Three Ways to Download Pictures From iPhone

I would like to download all the photos taken on my iPhone onto to Macbook. But I can't figure out how to get the 300+ photos on the phone onto my Mac. Any idea?

I got 2994 photos on my Mac loaded into the phone via iTunes sync before. But I need to transfer some of them back on my Mac for re-backup. How to do that?

Method One — Download iPhone photos taken by "Camera Roll" using Preview

If you just want to transfer photos from iPhone Camero Roll to Mac, it's the easiest way for you.

1. Connect phone to Mac, launch Preview, go to "File" > “Import from iPhone…” from the main menu.

2. At this time, a window will pop up, displaying all photos from iPhone Camera Roll. Just select "Import All" to get all the pictures, or select the ones you want individually and then hit "Import".

3. According to "~/Pictures/~(Folder)", you can find the imported photos on Mac.

Method Two — Download iPhone photos taken by "Camera Roll" using iPhoto

iPhoto just can detect the photos stored on iPhone's Camero Roll. So you can only download photos taken by iPhone to Mac with iPhoto.

1. Plug the iPhone into Mac, launch iPhoto, enter into your iPhone under the "Devices". At this time, the Import window will display all of photos from iPhone's Camera Roll.

2. Select the ones you want to transfer, and then drag & drop them to iPhoto library. The process is shown as follows:
