Someone broke into my house and stole my computer (and other stuff) ... I felt a little better when I realized they hadn't found my iPhone. My Dad gave me his old computer and I was able to download my iPhone music library, but I still haven't found any software to copy the photos onto the Mac (there are a few for PCs but none that I could find for Macs)...
As you can see, that photos are so private for us. Keeping them on your iPod/iPhone (including iPhone 4S) are not safe sometimes, so why not copy your photos and images from iPod/iPhone to Mac? It is the same thing to backup photos from Mac to iPod/iPhone (iPhone 4S).
Free Photo Transfer provides an easy solution for you to copy iPod/iPhone/iPad images to Mac with only a few clicks (Mountain Lion, Lion supported) .
Step 1: Get Free Photo Transfer prepared
Download Free Photo Transfer, install and launch it, then connect your device.

Step 2: Find the target photos from your iPhone ( iPhone 4S)
After connecting iPhone to your Mac computer, then all photo files in your device will be displayed on the left of the main interface. Free Photo Transfer allows you to transfer BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG and TIF photos from iPhone to Mac, and you are permitted to transfer 20 photos in total.
Note:
If you want to transfer and backup the pictures of more than one iPod/iPad/iPhone (iPhone 4S), connect the devices to your Mac at the same time, then you can switch between the devices to conduct your transferring. If you want to transfer more photos, you can try Transpod for Mac here, which allows you to do more.
Step 3: Start to transfer photos on Mac (Mountain Lion, Lion included)
Start to transfer photos/images. All you need to do is to drag the photos to the file or iTunes where you want to save them. You can free transfer photo files from your iPhone to your Mac in only a few seconds.
If you want to transfer pictures from Mac to iPhone (iPhone 4S), you can use iPhoto: put the photos to your iPhoto first, then sync them to your iTunes, and finally you can turn it to your iPhone, or your iPad, iPod.
