How to Export iMovie Project to DV Camcorder

After finishing work on iMovie, some users need to get movie onto a miniDV tape. iMovie 09 seems to have dispensed with the "export/save to camera" option that older versions had.

1. Press the DV button on the black Extron box.
2. From the File menu in iMovie, choose Save Project and save your files to the desktop.
3. From the iMovie menu located to the left of the File menu and choose Quit iMovie to quit out of iMovie.
4. Press the Power buttons on the Sony box (on top of the computer) and the VCR to turn them off.
5. Press the Power button on the DV player to turn it on.
6. Insert a recordable DV tape into the DV player.
7. Verify that the DV player input is set to DV In. You will see this message just underneath the time on the display screen of the player. Follow the steps below if the input is set to HDV In.
   a. Press the MENU button right above the REC buttons, IN/OUT REC should be selected on the display screen.
   b. Press the right pointing arrow button on the control panel.
   c. In HDV/DV SEL, make sure that DV is selected.
   d. Press MENU again to exit.
8. Launch iMovie.
9. Import your movie into the new project, and make sure it’s in the timeline.
10. Save/Export to camera.
