Step 1. Launch the Program and Connect iPhone
Run iPhone Ringtone Maker for Mac and connect your iPhone to the computer.
Note: Connecting your iPhone will avoid being reminded to in the following steps.
Step 2. Select an Audio or Video Clip
Double click an audio or video clip as the source on your iTunes, and then it will be imported.
Note: You are also allowed to add clips from your hard drive by dragging and dropping.
Step 3. Edit Ringtones
iPhone Ringtone Maker allows you to trim and add fade-in or fade-out effects to ringtones.
Trimming: There are 5 ways you can trim audio files.
1. Set the "Start Time" and the "End Time";
2. Drag the highlighted section of the timeline;
3. Click ← and → to move the highlighted section;
4. Press Option+↑/↓ to narrow from the left/right edge, press Option+←/→ to extend on the left/right side;
5. Double click the timeline and drag the mouse over a section on the timeline.
Effect: Set the fade-in/out length (maximum time: 5 seconds).

Step 4. Create Ringtones
Select "Transfer to iPhone", click "Start", and then the ringtone will be created and transferred to your iPhone (iPhone 4S included) automatically.
Step 5. Record a Voice Ringtone
Click 
and record a voice ringtone. Select "Import Recording File Automatically", and then you can find the file in the library after you create it.
Step 6. Manage Ringtones (Optional)
Click 
and highlight the files you want to manage. You can transfer them between your iTunes and iPhone lists, delete or play them.
