Wondershare DVD Ripper for Mac Guide

General steps
Step 1: Load DVD
Launch DVD Ripper for Mac, click 'Load DVD' or 'Load IFO' to add DVD files.
Step 2: Select the optimized output format for DVD on Mac
After loading DVD to the Mac DVD Ripper, choose the chapters or titles you want to rip, then click 'Format' to select the output format from the drop-down list.
Step 3: Start conversion
After all the settings, click the 'Start' button to start ripping DVD to destination format.
Tips
- Tip 1: Load DVD resource

You can load DVD files either from your DVD-ROM or the copy of DVD folder in your computer. By selecting IFO files from VIDEO_TS folder in DVD, you can press COMMAND+A to choose all the IFO files. For DVD ISO image, you can mount the iso file in your virtual DVD emulator, say Daemon Tools, and then load the DVD movie in Wondershare DVD Ripper for Mac program.
- Tip 2: Set output video and audio parameters

Click the Settings button to set the video and audio parameters
- Tip 3: Preview, Capture pictures

You can preview the whole DVDs and capture pictures in the Preview window.
The DVD Ripper for Mac supports .jpg and .bmp picture formats. You can change to the other by openning 'Preferences' from 'Wondershare DVD Ripper' menu and choosing a format you want.
- Tip 4: Apply to all

After selecting a format for output, click 'Apply to all' and all the output video formats for chapters or titles you selected are the same as the selected format.
- Tip 5: Merge output videos into one file
- Check 'Merge into one file' to join all selected DVD titles and chapters into one video after the conversion.
- Tip 6: Change output video file name
- Rename each title/chapter in the ‘File name’ field.
- Tip 7: Select subtitle and audio track

Select the subtitle and audio track for the titles/chapters if you want.
Advanced functions
- 1. Trim segments

If you just want to convert clips from your DVD movie, you can click the Trim icon to capture a clip. In the Trim window, you can trim the length of the current title/chapter by dragging the Start Time and End Time sliders.
- 2. Crop output video size

If your DVD video has black sides or you just want the certain scene, you can use this Crop function to remove them. Click the Crop icon to open the Crop window, and set the video crop area by choosing optimized proportion from Zoom or dragging the crop frame or setting the four crop parameters (Top, Bottom, Left and Right).
- 3. Adjust effect of the output video
- If you want to change the original video effect, you can click the Effect icon to set the video brightness, contrast, saturation, and even audio volume. You can also apply a artistic effect to your movie video from the Filters including Gray, Emboss, Negative etc.
