Choose Copy Task

Double-click the below DVD Copy Pro for Mac dmg file to start installation on your Mac. When you see an icon of DVD Copy Pro for Mac in a pop-up window, drag it onto the Desktop or the Applications folder.

After proper installation, launch DVD Copy Pro for Mac. There are three output types for you to copy DVDs or files: Copy to DVD, Copy to Local and Copy to Devices. Select one of them.

Part 1: Copy to DVD

After select Copy to DVD, in the pop up window, locate the DVD, VIDEO_TS, .dvdmedia or ISO file you want to copy from, and click Select. Then you enter the interface as below. All titles are in the List pane.

You can decide to copy the main title (usually the longest) only or all titles by choosing Main Movie Copy or Full Copy under Options. If you want to copy appointed titles, choose Customized Copy and select the titles in the List pane. If you want to copy the DVD to two Discs, choose Split Copy.

Tip 1: Split Copy Methods
  • Usually, if the main title is less than 4.7GB, the main title is in one Disc. Other titles and menu are in another Disc. If the main title is more than 4.7GB, the first half part of the main title and menu are in one Disc. The rest is in another Disc. Note that only D9 is supported with Split Copy.
Tip 2: Burn without menu
  • If you choose Main Movie Copy, you can decide whether to remove the menu by selecting No Menu.

Check the Select box to select the title you want to preview, and then click the Play button. If you have multiple Hard Drives, select the one you want to use in the drop-down list of Burn Disc in. If you want to copy a D9 DVD to a D5 disc, select Compress D9 to D5 option. You can choose subtitles and audio track by selecting the options in the drop-down list of Subtitles and Audio. To rename the DVD, input text in the DVD Name box. Click Back to choose other output types.

When all settings are done, click Start to proceed. To copy to another disc, you need to take out the original disc in the middle of copying and insert a blank one as the program prompts.


Part 2: Copy to Local

After select Copy to Local, in the pop up window, locate the DVD, VIDEO_TS, .dvdmedia or ISO file you want to backup, and click Select. Then you enter the interface as below. All titles are in the List pane.

Select Full Copy, Main Movie Copy, Customized Copy and Split Copy option referring to section Copy to DVD. After selecting movies, choose an option according to your need for output: VIDEO_TS, .dvdmedia or ISO. You can choose subtitles and audio track by selecting the options in the drop-down list of Subtitles and Audio. To rename the DVD, type text in the Save as box. Click Back to choose other output types. When all settings are done, click Start to proceed.


Part 3: Copy to Devices

After select Copy to Devices, in the pop up window, locate the DVD, VIDEO_TS, .dvdmedia or ISO file you want to backup, and click Select. Then you enter the interface as below. All titles are in the List pane.

Note: You can ONLY copy the main title of a DVD in this output type.

Click the Play button to preview the main title. Choose an option according to your need for output: iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS. You can set the output parameters of the video format by clicking DVD Copy Pro > Preferences on the top menu bar. Before changing the settings, do note that the default setting is usually the best choice.

You can choose subtitles and audio track by selecting the options in the drop-down list of Subtitles and Audio. Click Choose to rename the file, and to choose output folder of the copied file. Click Back to choose other output types. When all settings are done, click Start to proceed.
