How to transfer music between your iPod/iPhone/iPad and your Mac?

Step 2: Prepare to transfer iPod/iPhone/iPad to your Mac

After connecting the device to your Mac, then all media files in your device, your iTunes and your Mac will be displayed on the main interface and sorted clearly in catalogues, such as Alblums,Artists,Genres, Composers, etc.

Files in your portable devices are listed on the left, while those in your iTunes, your local files, or your DVD files are listed on the right of the interface.

Note: Here you can choose the "Hide Duplicate Contents" to make your browse and transfer more efficiently.

Step 3: Start transferring

To transfer files, all you need to do is to drag the file to your location. You can freely transfer music between the devices and your Mac or iTunes library in only a few seconds.
1. Click "iTunes" button, then drag and transfer music from a device to your iTunes or from your iTunes to your devices.
2. Click "Folder" button, and drag your desired music, then you can backup your iPad/iPhone/iPod music to your Mac, or share your Mac music to your devices.

Tips:
If you want to transfer media files like videos, photos, or DVD movies for playback on your iPod/iPhone/iPad, you can click More Contents under the Music, which allows you to transfer those files within 20 files. But if you want to transfer more, you can try the full version of TransPod for Mac, which permits you to backup and share all kinds of media files even including TV shows, books, podcasts, iTunes U, playlists, etc. between your devices, with no limitation.
